Huge python chases after jeep after being pulled from safari car's wheel
This is the crazy moment a huge python chased after a jeep after it was rescued from being wrapped around the vehicle’s petrol tank.
Nonofo Maroba was leading a tour through the Mababe Depression, Botswana, in April when he spotted a four-and-a-half metre long snake slither under his car.
Dramatic footage shows Nonofo and one of his guests trying to pull the python from under the wheel rim by its tail.
After a 90 minute struggle, the safari guide managed to drag the snake free only for the furious reptile to chase after the jeep after they drove off.
Nonofo said: “It tried biting me but I got lucky it didn’t. I tried removing it with sticks to push it out on the other side but it was a tight fit.
“The only option was a to pull it out by its tail. It took us about an hour and a half to remove it.
“It has happened before but it was a smaller snake so it wasn’t as difficult.
“We saw it crawl up the game viewer thinking it was going to pass under the car, little did we know it had other plans.
“It was quite warm under there so it was a perfect spot for him. It hid right under the gas tank where it got real tight."
