Helicopter crashed due to being entangled in kite strings in Bali, Indonesia, two victims had broken bones, namely Australian and Indonesian citizens.
A helicopter crashed on Suluban Beach, Pecatu Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia on Friday 19 July 2024.
PK-WSP type Bell 505 helicopter belonging to PT. Whitesky Aviation crashed after its propeller became entangled in a kite string.
The chronology is known that at 14.33 Central Indonesian Time (WITA), the helicopter took off from the GWK Bali Helipad to go on a tourist trip.

The helicopter crashed.
Based on the photo, the propeller is wrapped around a large kite string.
At 15.25 WITA
The Denpasar Bali search and rescue team received information about the crashed helicopter.
"Based on initial information, the helicopter was carrying 5 people including the pilot and crew," said I Nyoman Sidakarya, Head of Basarnas Bali on Friday 19 July 2024.
"All the victims were evacuated safely. Three passengers were taken to Siloam Hospital using ambulances. Two people had broken bones, namely 1 Australian citizen and 1 crew member from the Bali helicopter tour, hands and waist," said I Nyoman Sidakarya, Head of Basarnas Bali.
Following are the names of the survivors:
1. Dedi Kurnia (pilot).
2. Russell James Harris (Australian citizen/passenger).
3. Eloira Decti Paskilah (passenger).
4. Christopher Marrot Castellat (Australian citizen/passenger).
5. Oki (crew / suffered a broken bone).
