This is the scary moment raging torrents flowed through a mountain waterfall in the Philippines.

Footage shows the muddy deluge gushing down Wawa Dam as heavy rainfall cascaded down in Rizal province on July 26 during the onslaught of Typhoon Gaemi in the region.

Nearby houses submerged with only their roofs visible on the surface of the water while residents evacuated.

Onlooker Allen Sison said: ‘At that moment I was hoping that Wawa Dam will calm down eventually like before.'

Typhoon Gaemi killed 22 in the Philippines after lashing through mainland Luzon for almost a week, intensifying monsoon rains. It headed to Taiwan killing three people and injuring more than 200 when it made landfall.
