A huge wall of dust descended down a mountain in Maoxian County, Sichuan Province, following a landslide.

Footage from August 31 shows clouds of dust rolling down the landscape before engulfing several villagers' homes at the bottom of the mountain.

The Maoxian County Natural Resources Bureau reported that the landslide had a collapse volume of approximately 2,000 cubic meters, making it a significant geological disaster.

Fortunately, due to the prompt action of local government and related departments, residents in the surrounding area were quickly evacuated to safety, and no casualties were reported in the incident.

It was also noted that a day before the landslide, some villagers had noticed signs of instability in the mountain area and promptly reported it to the relevant authorities. This early warning allowed for the timely evacuation of residents, avoiding any loss of life.
