Two passing women toppled over when they bumped into a pothole.

The locals aboard the motorcycle slid on the road after losing balance due to the sinkhole in the middle of the pathway in Morbi, Gujarat, India, on September 7.

Footage shows the victims slipping onto the muddy road. Bystanders immediately helped them and checked if they were okay.

They are reported to have only sustained scratches from the incident.

A delivery rider had also been a victim of a huge 6ft pothole in Gurgaon, Haryana, and fell into the muddy water due to continuous rainfall in the country.

A few months ago, another street cavity was spotted in another city due to poor infrastructure, resulting in substandard roads and drainage systems.

Residents urge the government to take action to fix the roads and prevent similar incidents from happening.
