SNOW VALLEY, CA - In a display of strategic foresight and preparedness, CAL FIRE's San Bernardino Unit firefighters today outmaneuvered the unpredictable LineFire, successfully protecting structures in the Bear Creek drainage area near Snow Valley. With an understanding that the fire might flare up in this region, firefighters prepositioned themselves, ready to engage the blaze as soon as it made its move.
The LineFire, which has been challenging containment efforts, showed signs of activity that could have threatened the few structures dotting the landscape of this scenic area. However, thanks to the proactive measures taken by the CAL FIRE team, the fire was met with an immediate and robust response, confining it within existing containment lines.
