This is the shocking moment an unlucky schoolgirl ran into the road and dodged a bus but was hit by a truck.

Zhang, the nine-year-old girl, recklessly crossed the busy motorway, nearly getting rammed by passing vehicles in Shaoyang, China, on September 22.

Footage shows the public bus hitting the brakes to prevent colliding with the child. However, the moving lorry driven by Li nearly crashed into girl, eventually striking her.

Local reports said that she sustained minor injuries in the traffic incident.
