Horse successfully rescued from drowning in deep well in central India
In a tense rescue operation led by Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, a distressed horse was saved from drowning after it accidentally fell into a well in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.
The incident took place near Urban Basic School in Shahdol on November 4.
Visuals showed a horse had fallen into a filthy well filled with water and debris. The rescue team tied a rope securely around its neck, carefully pulling it up to safety. Finally freed, the horse regained its footing and made its way toward the forest, disappearing into the trees.
The incident, which took place between 12:42 PM and 1:01 PM, quickly garnered attention and required an urgent response to save the animal’s life. Led by Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, the founder of the Atal Kamadhenu Gausewa Sansthan, the team undertook a successful rescue operation, bringing the horse out alive and unscathed.
The Atal Kamadhenu Gausewa Sansthan, an organization focused on animal welfare, sprang into action as soon as they were alerted. Mishra and his team carefully managed the challenging rescue, knowing that even a slight delay could prove fatal for the trapped horse. With dedication and precision, they managed to lift the horse to safety, averting a tragedy.
The operation highlighted a surprising insight about animals in water; while cows generally possess the natural ability to stay afloat and avoid drowning, horses are less likely to fare well in such situations. This unique knowledge further emphasized the urgency of the rescue. Thanks to the timely intervention of the rescue team, the horse is now safe, marking a successful mission by the Atal Kamadhenu Gausewa Sansthan.
