On the morning of November 8 in Yiyang, Hunan, a 5-year-old boy was accidentally trapped under a white car. In a critical moment, police and bystanders worked together and managed to rescue the boy from under the vehicle in just 34 seconds.

Surveillance footage shows that around 8 a.m., a four-wheeled electric vehicle carrying two boys was making a left turn at an intersection. One of the boys fell out of the vehicle from the right-side door, unnoticed by the driver who continued turning slowly. A following white car, unable to see the child due to a blind spot, accidentally ran over the boy.

Nearby officers and concerned passersby quickly gathered at the scene and lifted the car together, freeing the boy in just 34 seconds.

The police rushed the child to a nearby hospital within 5 minutes. Fortunately, despite serious injuries, the child’s life was not in danger.

Dr. Tan Songlong from Yiyang Datong Lake District People's Hospital reported that a CT scan revealed fractures in the tibia and fibula, several broken ribs, pneumothorax, and lung damage. He emphasized that the timely rescue and swift transport were crucial in preventing further complications, significantly aiding in the child’s recovery and rehabilitation.
