Around 10 a.m. on December 5th, at Nanchong North Station in Sichuan Province, a 1-year-old girl accidentally fell into the gap between the platform and the train while walking off train D1965 with her mother.

The gap, approximately 20–30 centimeters wide, was deep enough to trap the child, leaving her unable to climb out on her own. She cried loudly in distress, drawing immediate attention from station staff and helpful passengers.

Responders lay on the ground, attempting to pull the girl out. The narrow gap and the child's panic made the rescue challenging, but after several attempts, they successfully lifted her out within about a minute.

The child was unharmed, and the train departed on schedule.
