The incident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m., prompting a response from Bakersfield Fire and Police departments. Emergency crews quickly shut down the surrounding roads, including Wilson and Wible, to facilitate the investigation and medical treatment. At the scene, a male, believed to be the driver of the Kia, was seen undergoing a field sobriety test. However, it is unclear at this time if he was taken into custody. The crash remains under investigation.
