This is the amusing moment a pet dog took a buffalo for a walk in Indonesia.

The adorable black bulldog went for a stroll with its beastly companion in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi, on December 14.

Footage shows the canine guiding the bovine on the streets by pulling the rope attached to its collar.

The unusual friendship between the duo stunned onlookers as they passed by the neighbourhood.

The filmer said: 'This has become their daily walk routine, and they seem to enjoy each other's company.'

A domesticated water buffaloes are generally gentle and can be affectionate if socialized. They are often used for transportation and plowing in Asia, and are sometimes called the 'living tractor of the East'.

Pit bulls are known for being patient and affectionate, making them good playmates for children and friendly to other animals.
