British woman arrested for 'breaking glass table while romping in hotel lobby then fighting police'
A drunk British woman is spending Christmas Day in a Thai prison cell after trying to have sex on a hotel's glass table before fighting with police.
The blonde holidaymaker is said to have straddled her partner in the lobby before breaking the piece of furniture in Pattaya, Thailand, at 3am this morning.
She allegedly ran away with the porter in pursuit before grappling with an armed officer in front of the beach. Bystanders eventually helped to subdue her.
Footage shows the woman in a a white mini dress hurling vile insults at locals while being frogmached in handcuffs to the station. Her boyfriend had quietly slipped away.
She says in the video 'what are you doing, oi, somebody English' before branding the officer a 'f****** f** s****** c***' .
As more officers arrive to detain her, she says 'record me, England, I'm from England, mister, hey. mister please, keep recording everything, stupid little fat f***** pudgy c***'.
The woman arrives at the station as an officer says 'shut your mouth' while leading her into a holding cell to sober up. The hotel porter in a red t-shirt is seen in the video leading her into the station, while the large shaven-headed man helping to subdue her outside was a bystander.
Speaking today at 2pm local time, Police Lieutenant General Ittikorn Saikratok, who is handling the case, said: 'The British woman is still in the cell this afternoon but she's still very drunk.
'She hasn't sobered up yet. She has been making a lot of noise all night but nobody can understand what she is saying. She is yelling and incoherent.
'She has no identification on her so we don't know her name.
'I told her to go to sleep. When she's sober and can speak more clearly, a translator will come and help with the situation.
‘We advised the hotel staff to file a crime report with evidence of the damaged item and wait for the woman to sober before starting discussions about compensation.'
Staff at the Flipper Lodge Hotel where the incident started said today that the woman and her partner began having sex on a sofa before one of them allegedly tried to sit on the glass table. It was knocked over and shattered.
A staff member said: 'Both of the foreigners were not hotel customers. They were drunk and entered while we were working, and we didn't notice them because we thought they were our customers, so we didn't pay attention.
‘After a while, they did something obscene. The started trying to have sex on a glass table, causing it to break along with other property.
‘We approached them and discovered they were not hotel customers, so we ushered them out.
‘However, they refused and caused a commotion, so we took them to the police station to file a report and calm them down.
‘We will need to proceed with pressing charges because they damaged the hotel property and must take responsibility, though it's not a huge issue.'
Pattaya on the east coast of Thailand is two-hour drive from the main airport serving the capital Bangkok. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations alongside the capital and Phuket in the south.
It is also the most debauched - with bars and massage parlours lining most roads in the city and hundreds of thousands of young woman working in the sex trade.
Thailand's role aiding the United States in the second Indochina War against Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia lead to the region growing into a sex tourism destination for American GIs on rest and relaxation breaks.
