Hoards of Chinese tourists sparked chaos as they converged on a level crossing in Japan.

Footage shows holidaymakers crowding the railroad crossing at Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto during the Spring Festival on January 26.

They can be seen being pushed over as the barriers are lowered.
