A lizard's daring act of biting the eye of a cat that was trying to attack it was caught on camera, leaving the feline struggling to break free. This unique footage was filmed by Eka Darma on January 28, 2025, in his hometown of Palupuah, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia.

Eka then uploaded the video, which quickly went viral on TikTok, garnering 376,000 views and 7,700 likes. In the video's caption, Eka wrote, "Orange kitten. This orange guy's eyes could go cross-eyed if this goes on for too long.”

Eka explained to Newsflare journalist Wahyu Lelo that the lizard, locally known as Bingkaruang, was initially brought home by the mother cat. The kitten then snatched it and played with it.

"The kitten carried the biting lizard here and there. Perhaps due to exhaustion and the pain of the cat's bite, the lizard finally released its grip," Eka said.

Eka added that his kitten briefly released the lizard from its bite, giving the reptile an opportunity to escape into the bushes.
