A female shopkeeper in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia, was thrown into a panic when a large monitor lizard suddenly entered her store on March 6, 2025.

Footage shows the startled woman climbing onto her cash register counter in fear as the reptile roamed the premises.

Two men quickly came to her aid, working together to guide the intrusive lizard out of the snack shop.

Nelwati, the shopkeeper, stated that this was the first time a monitor lizard had entered her store. She suspects the reptile came from the nearby rice fields.
