A fishing trawler caught fire while docked in Indonesia.

The boat, loaded with tons of fish, burned as thick black smoke billowed from the pier at Muara Baru Harbor in North Jakarta on the afternoon of February 11.

Footage shows the watercraft in flames with massive plumes of smoke rising into the air.

The fire department received a report of the incident, prompting them to spring into action.

Head of Operations Gatot Sulaeman said: 'A total of 15 Fire Department personnel were deployed to the location to extinguish the fire.

'The chronology and cause of the fire are not yet known. However, it is certain that only one ship caught fire, there was no spread, and there were no casualties.'

Police are currently conducting an investigation into what happened.
