This is the heroic moment a pet dog stranded on a frozen river was rescued in Russia.
The desperate pet owner sought help from Russia's State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (GIMS) under the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) after her dog fell through the ice on the Volga River in Tver on February 20.
Footage shows personnel using a hovercraft to navigate the treacherous icy surface and successfully scoop the dog from the frigid depths.
The shivering canine was swiftly returned to shore and reunited with its overjoyed owner.
