This is the shocking moment a fridge outside a grocery store toppled over onto a boy.

The shop owners were attempting to reposition the huge red refrigerator when it fell over, smashing into the child in Zhumadian, China, on February 27.

CCTV footage shows the appliance pitching forward toward the kid, who attempted to stop it from falling over.

However, two men nearby were unable to lift it up, leaving the boy trapped under the fridge.

Upon seeing this, passing kindhearted locals immediately helped hoist the machine while others dragged the boy out from the ground.

The boy was not only hit by the beverage cooler, but all the sodas inside it even fell on him.

The shop owner said: 'He is okay now. He sustained body aches, but there were no wounds.'
