An alleged Chinese smuggler was arrested when thousands of Bruce Lee nunchucks were found at a warehouse in Thailand.

Officials raided the unauthorised storage unite in 'Sin City' Pattaya following reports that the group had a treasure trove of illegally imported goods.

They swept into the property on April 2, and allegedly found boxes of dietary supplements, cosmetics, medicine, pet products, home decoration items, and electronic products.

There were also fake firearms, brass knuckles, and nunchucks popularised by Hong Kong martial artist Bruce Lee in his action movies.

Authorities arrested Chinese man Lin Chen, 32, who identified himself as the warehouse manager. One Chinese man and three Thais were also caught packing the products into boxes.

Patcharaphat Srithanyanon, the local district chief, said: 'The officers arrived and ordered the suspects to show importation documents for the products. However, they failed to produce the necessary paperwork. All of the goods were seized for inspection.

'We inspected the products and found that some of them were not up to standard. The food supplements and medicine did not have a Food and Drug Administration label and could be life-threatening when used. We also seized fake weapons that are very realistic and might be illegal.

‘We confiscated these items and arrested the Chinese man and Thai employees to track down the warehouse owner for legal action.'

Lin claimed he himself was only an employee who had been working at the warehouse for a few months. He said the real owner had already returned to China but left him in charge of the operations.

He said: 'Most of the products stored arrive from China via cargo ship. I would pick them up and store them in the warehouse. The goods would be sold through livestreams and online sales, and the information will be sent to me so that we can begin packing and shipping the products to customers.'

Authorities said they were investigating the identity of the warehouse owner in China.
