This is the heartwarming moment a kind security guard fanned a cat suffering from the intense heat.

The thoughtful officer was spotted caring for the ginger feline under 42 degrees Celsius weather at the University of San Agustin in Iloilo, the Philippines, on April 4.

Footage captured by Seth Emboltura shows the worker using a handheld bamboo fan to direct air toward the moggy resting on the ground at the entrance.

Seth said: 'It's a university cat, and like all the cats here at our university, they are under the care of the staff. Their daily needs, such as food, water, and treats, are provided for them. It was touching to see our guard car for the cat.'

The Philippines is currently experiencing scorching heat, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in several regions, prompting health warnings.
