British tourists cause chaos as they fight for cheap food in Thai 7-Eleven shop
A group of British tourists caused chaos when a brawl erupted inside a corner shop as they scrambled for cheap food.
The lads were seen refusing to let go of each other's bags and shirts as a local pleaded with them to leave the 7-Eleven shop in Thailand.
Footage shows the unruly visitors filling one aisle between the shelves of the cramped store on the island of Koh Tao on May 6.
A youngster pulled another foreigner by his maroon shirt and bag while a girl tried to stop him from reaching the ham and cheese toasties at the back of the shop.
Two Thai locals were by the door, blocking the entrance while appearing to ask them to calm down.
Other tourists joined the chaotic scene, recording from the sides with their phones.
Soon after, the two groups clashed when the man in the black cap turned his back on the lad who was grabbing his clothes.
He was punched in the face and sent falling backwards, with more girls trying to pull them apart.
Canadian tourist Benjamin Dionne, who saw the fight while trying to buy snacks, said: 'I have no idea how it started.
'I do not know what they fought about. I only knew there was a brawl by the entrance while they were trying to get food.
'Some people told us they were British and some Israelis. I could not hear what they were saying. Everyone was screaming.'
Staff at the branch of the Japanese conglomerate said there was an ice cream dessert sale when it happened.
Some of the customers were seen trying to leave with popsicles, but the fighting group had blocked the door.
7-Eleven has become a cult hit with backpackers due to its budget food options, including the infamous ham and cheese toasties that have been the subject of tens of thousands of travel videos.
