Flock License Plate Reader Helps Deputies Catch Stolen Vehicle Suspects
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — A stolen vehicle was stopped and multiple suspects taken into custody after Douglas County deputies were alerted by a Flock license plate reader, according to a post from the sheriff’s office.
The incident occurred during the Graves shift when the automated system flagged the vehicle. Deputies quickly responded, initiating a pursuit that ended with the suspects crashing into a building. No injuries were reported, and all individuals were safely apprehended.
“This is a great example of technology and teamwork coming together to keep our community safe,” said Sheriff Darren Weekly in the department’s Facebook post. “Tools like Flock are force multipliers that allow us to fight crime proactively and effectively.”
The investigation remains active.
