LEMING ISLAND, Fla. — A Clay County sergeant stepped up to protect residents after a gator was spotted roaming a neighborhood in Fleming Island.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Kroh “wrangled the gator like a pro,” ensuring the safety of both the community and the animal.

The gator was safely relocated and released back into a nearby creek. Officials praised Sgt. Kroh’s calm and effective handling of the situation.

Wildlife encounters are not uncommon in Florida, and residents are reminded to report sightings to local authorities for safe removal.
