Seat Belts Save Lives in Tampa Two-Vehicle Crash Rescue
TAMPA, Fla. — A serious crash near the 1200 block of E. Fowler Avenue could have ended in tragedy if not for one critical choice: wearing a seat belt.
Tampa Police officers responded last month to a two-vehicle accident and quickly rescued a driver and a 7-year-old passenger trapped inside a white SUV. Fortunately, both only sustained minor injuries — a result credited to their use of seat belts.
Authorities are using the incident to remind drivers and passengers alike: buckling up saves lives. “Be your own hero. Buckle up, every ride, every time,” the department said.
