Firemen rescue boy, 15, with arm stuck in manhole cover
Firemen rushed to save a boy whose arm became stuck in a manhole cover while he was trying to reach fallen coins.
Footage shows officers using a power tool to cut through thick, rusty metal to free the 15-year-old in Cebu, the Philippines on June 5.
Three team members worked to keep the teenager calm and prevent him from panicking as they carefully sliced the metal.
They also used a saw and poured water on the area to cool the metal and avoid burns.
An onlooker said: ‘The Bureau of Fire Protection and City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office personnel rescued the boy.
‘It happened on Plaridel Street, Barangay Santo Nino around 5am while trying to get a coin.'
The youngster was successfully freed after more than an hour.
He was taken to the hospital on an ambulance where he received further treatments.
