Mum poses with toddler over 7,000ft drop from killer mountain
This is the nerve-wracking moment a mum posed with her toddler over a 7,000ft drop from a killer mountain.
Terrifying footage shows the woman sitting on the edge of a sheer cliff at Mount Hushuan in Shaanxi, China.
A photographer can be seen carrying her son and carefully placing him in her lap on May 19.
The seemingly anxious toddler is then told to shuffle back between her legs to face the snapper.
The cameraman directed the pair, with no safety harness, to perform an uneasy-looking double thumbs up.
Other tourists can be heard protesting and urging the mum to come down, concerned for the holidaymakers' safety.
However, the photographer insisted the visitors continue pointing into the distance for another shot.
The Culture and Tourism Bureau banned the photographer from the peak upon receiving a complaint.
They said in a statement: 'The photographer has been ordered to stop business immediately.
'Thankfully, the majority of tourists pay attention to the safety of themselves and their families when visiting.'
Mount Hushuan is notorious as the country's most dangerous mountain, with its dizzying cliffside staircases and barely passable hiking routes. It is said that around a hundred visitors a year die there.
