This is the moment a quick-thinking mother saved her son from falling onto the floor.

Alyssa Anne Kyle Terrobias was returning from refilling her water bottle when she found her son Zion, 2, on the verge of falling from the bed in their home in Pampanga, the Philippines.

Footage shows Zion tossing as he adjusted his sleeping position. His head was positioned at the edge of the bed, causing him to slide down slowly just as Alyssa was walking into the bedroom.

The sleepy mum saw him falling and swiftly dived to keep his head from hitting the floor. The toddler was heard crying from shock.

Zion did not sustain any injuries as his blanket cushioned the fall.

Alyssa said: 'I don't know if I got hurt. My attention was entirely focused on preventing Zion from falling. After that incident, he played as if nothing had happened.'
