Winston-Salem Officer Races Wife in Viral Foot Pursuit Challenge
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Winston-Salem Police Department joined in on a viral trend with a playful twist on police work: a foot pursuit challenge between an officer and his wife.
In a video shared on the department’s Facebook page, an officer takes on his wife — a former athlete — in a mock pursuit, sprinting down a grassy field to see who comes out on top. The clip is part of a growing trend where law enforcement personnel engage in lighthearted races with friends or family members, often filmed and shared online.
The department’s caption asked viewers, “Who do you think won?” while highlighting the importance of building community engagement through fun and relatable moments.
Though no arrests were made and no egos seriously bruised, the race brought smiles to followers and helped humanize those behind the badge.
