Lee County, Florida Deputies, Firefighters Rescue Kitten Trapped in Pipe
NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Lee County Sheriff's Office deputies and North Fort Myers firefighters teamed up for an unusual rescue when a curious kitten became stuck inside a pipe.
The incident occurred recently in the 1st Precinct area, where community members contacted deputies after discovering the kitten, later named Piper, wedged and unable to free herself. Deputies arrived on scene and quickly coordinated with the fire department to begin the rescue.
With care and teamwork, the responders safely freed Piper from the pipe. The kitten was unharmed and is now safe.
Officials praised the efforts of those involved, stating that no call is too small when it comes to protecting the community — even its four-legged members.
