MEDWAY, Mass. — With his wife by his side and surrounded by fellow officers, family, friends, and town officials, Lt. Watson of the Medway Police Department officially signed off for the final time on July 8, capping a distinguished 38-year career in law enforcement.

The emotional farewell occurred at 3 p.m., when Watson’s son, Tim, delivered a heartfelt final radio call honoring his father’s decades of service. The moment marked the end of a career defined by dedication, leadership, and community service.

Medway Police Chief Kingsbury and other members of the department gathered to pay tribute, underscoring the deep respect Watson earned over his nearly four decades of commitment. The department shared a video of the final call, encouraging the public to watch a moment they say “you won’t forget.”
