Philippines earthquake rattles phone cases hanging inside shop
A magnitude 5.8 earthquake rattled phone cases hanging inside a shop in the Philippines today.
Footage shows cellphone accessories violently shaking as tremors rocked Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, on Tuesday, July 15.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that the quake's epicentre was 29 km northwest of Pasuquin, at a depth of 27 km.
The tectonic earthquake struck at 10:38 am.
Although no damage or aftershocks have been reported so far, authorities warned that subsequent tremors could still occur.
The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands inside the Pacific' Ring of Fire' where the majority of Earth's volcanic eruptions and earthquakes happen.
