Phoenix, United States - July 28, 2025 07/27/2025 09:55 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Calif. – According to Phoenix Fire Department Captain Daniel “DJ” Lee, firefighters were called to the area of 15th Avenue and Grant Street Sunday evening to reports of a fiery traffic collision. As firefighters arrived, they found a pickup truck that had crashed into a commercial building and caught fire. The fire began to extend to the structure, and the call nature was balanced to a first alarm working commercial fire. Due to the loss of structural integrity, firefighters positioned themselves in a defensive posture to fight the fire externally. Once firefighters gained control of the fire, they made entry into the structure and confirmed that at least one occupant of the truck was deceased. Phoenix police detectives are investigating the cause of the collision.
