Family of Japanese tourists seen cleaning up rubbish from footpath in Bangkok
A family of Japanese tourists were seen cleaning up rubbish from a footpath in Bangkok.
The group, consisting of two couples with their young ones, carried trash bags to collect pieces of plastic they found along the sidewalk in Thailand.
Heartwarming footage shows the visitors exploring the Thai capital while doing a cleanup on August 13.
The adults held the bags and tongs so they would not have to touch the trash.
The youngsters walked in the middle while talking to each other, guided safely by the four parents.
Onlooker Navavit Jaraskul said: ‘I was riding an e-bicycle when I saw them. A community will be great if everyone pitches in.'
Japanese people are often admired for their cleanliness, both in personal habits and in public spaces. This cultural value is deeply connected to traditions such as Shintoism, which upholds purity and respect for nature.
It is common to see communities across Japan organising regular cleanups. Even from a young age, pupils are taught to care for their classrooms and surroundings.
