US, Phoenix: Buckeye Interstate 10 Fatal Semi Truck Collision

Phoenix, United States - September 12, 2025 09/11/2025 11:15 pm GMT-0700 BUCKEYE, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) troopers and firefighters from Buckeye and Arizona Fire Medical Authority responded to reports of a collision involving two semi trucks on eastbound I-10 near milepost 109. According to the AZDPS at the scene, the collision occurred as traffic slowed due to an unrelated collision at milepost 111. An eastbound semi truck collided with a slower-moving semi in the right lane. The driver who struck the slow-moving semi was pronounced deceased at the scene. Eastbound I-10 was closed at 339th Avenue due to the collision. Several vehicles were stuck on I-10, east of 339th Avenue, as a result of the closure. AZDPS troopers are investigating the collision. Heavy-duty tow trucks worked to clear the wreckage from the travel lanes. As of 4:30 a.m., Friday, the duration of the closure was unknown.
