This is the dramatic moment an off-road truck lost control and flipped over on a muddy slope.

The trucker was headed to Pha Tat when the pickup skidded on the slick road in Phetchabun, Thailand, following recent rainfall.

Footage shows the four-wheeler accelerating downhill along a curve before veering off and slamming into the hillside on May 26.

The impact caused the truck to flip and overturn, scattering the cargo on the ground.

Onlookers quickly rushed over to check on the occupants.

No one was reportedly injured in the incident.

The slope, known locally as 'VIP Hill', is notorious for its danger and has been the site of several serious — even fatal — accidents, prompting warnings for drivers to exercise extreme caution.

Despite being one of the wealthiest countries in Asia, Thailand suffers from chronic underinvestment in its highways and education, contributing to its poor road safety levels. Only a handful of African countries are worse.

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
