Police shaved the heads of three lads as a bizarre punishment for allegedly driving recklessly on a motorcycle, before making them apologise.

The cops caught the trio riding together at high speed and swerving dangerously near a Buddhist temple in Kampong Speu, Cambodia.

Footage shows an officer using an electric razor to cut their hair, leaving uneven patches that resulted in comical hairstyles on September 15.

They were then ordered to hoist the heavy motorbike and walk it around a pole together as an added penalty.

Local official Preap Koy Vathanak said: ‘It is good for young people to go to the pagoda to make merit, but if they ride motorbikes recklessly on public roads causing disorder, then merit will not help them.

‘Praise should be given to the police force of Odong Mechey City for carrying out their duties excellently.'

The lads were also asked to kneel before their parents, who had been called to the station to fetch them, and apologise.
