Tourists enjoy feeding fish from a boat while admiring massive golden Buddha statue
Tourists can feed fish from a boat while admiring a massive golden Buddha statue in Thailand.
Footage shows holidaymakers in life vests tossing bread to a school of black ear catfish in Khlong Phasi Charoen Canal, part of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.
The fish can be seen thrashing in a frenzy as the snacks hit the water, splashing beside the wooden boat.
Nearby stands Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen, home to a Buddha statue rising an impressive 226 ft (69 m), making it one of the tallest in the Thai capital.
The golden statue, known as Phra Buddha Dhammakaya Thepmongkhon, was completed in 2021. Made entirely from pure bronze, it depicts the Buddha in a seated meditation posture and was constructed to honour Luang Pu Sodh, the temple's revered meditation master.
