A plane cabin filled with smoke forced passengers to evacuate the flight on Wednesday.

The Japan Airlines Boeing 767 was about to take off from Kagoshima International Airport when an auxiliary power unit reportedly began emitting smoke.

Footage shows passengers preparing to deboard the aircraft as the crew announced the flight was cancelled. A jetbridge was deployed for evacuations.

Authorities said none of the 245 passengers and crew were injured on flight 644 bound for Haneda International Airport.

The Kagoshima Airport Office said no other flights were affected.

Japan Airlines said the smoke was 'oil mist' that came from an auxiliary power unit used to power air conditioning. It added that the incident was being investigated.
