Phoenix, United States - October 22, 2025 10/22/2025 12:50 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Phoenix police at the scene, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black Ford Fusion near 15th Avenue and Roosevelt Street. The driver refused to yield to officers, and felony flight was established. The driver of the sedan fled east on Roosevelt Street before coming to an abrupt stop near 7th Avenue. Patrol officers and Tactical Support Bureau units converged on the suspect's vehicle and initiated a high-risk traffic stop. Officers issued several commands, ordering the driver to exit the vehicle. The driver refused to comply with commands and proceeded to honk his vehicle's horn while yelling unintelligibly and making rude hand gestures. Officers continued to issue additional commands, but the suspect remained non-compliant. Tactical Support Bureau officers devised a plan to immobilize the vehicle, utilizing their unmarked patrol SUVs to pin the suspect's sedan from the front and the rear. Moments later, the suspect exited the sedan and was taken into custody without further incident. Upon arrest, the driver exhibited obvious signs of impairment. The suspect, an adult male, faces multiple charges, including felony flight. Tests will be administered upon booking to determine the extent of the suspect's impairment.
