Phoenix, United States - December 24, 2025 12/23/2025 11:30 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to information gathered at the scene, Mesa police officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a sedan at an unknown location within the City of Mesa. The vehicle refused to yield, and felony flight was established. Mesa Police Department officers, with assistance from the Mesa PD helicopter, tracked the suspect as he fled west. The suspect eventually entered the city of Phoenix. The Phoenix police helicopter took over aerial surveillance of the suspect as the sedan continued to flee deeper into the city. Phoenix Police Tactical Support Bureau officers and troopers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to assist with the surveillance operation. The suspect eventually entered a residential area of the Sunnyslope neighborhood near Sunnyslope Lane and 12th Street. The suspect stopped and fled on foot from the vehicle. Phoenix Police Tactical Support Bureau officers and Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the area and converged on the suspect. The suspect was quickly taken into custody. Mesa police officers arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and took custody of the suspect.
