Located at a altitude and surrounded by snow-covered mountains, Sonamarg often experiences extreme winter conditions. However, the recent avalanche highlighted the serious risks associated with heavy snowfall in mountainous regions.
After several days of uninterrupted snowfall, massive amounts of snow accumulated on the steep slopes around Sonamarg.
Local authorities and disaster response teams were immediately deployed to the affected areas. no news for people casualty after Avalanche.
The avalanche also served as a reminder of the challenges faced by residents and security forces stationed in high-altitude regions during winter. Life in such areas becomes extremely difficult due to harsh weather, limited resources, and isolation caused by heavy snow.
