Cal Fire riverside county responded to a vehicle vs a motorcycle at the intersection of Girard Street and Acacia Avenue.
When arriving on scene, crews located a motorcycle crashed near a traffic pole and a male victim laying in the roadway.
A good samaritan stepped in to help the victim and attempted to lift the bike off of his body. First responders took over emergency medical and transported the victim to a local trauma center with severe injuries.
The vehicle that struck the victim, a white Honda Accord, left the scene.
Riverside County Sheriff Deputies and CHP officers were able to track the suspect at his home by using the evidence left at the scene, the bumper and license plate of the vehicle.
The Honda was found parked in the driveway of a residence at 41767 Mayberry Ave. The suspect was also located and was taken into custody by CHP for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The condition of the motorcyclist is unknown at this time. The victim is a local realtor who’s known to ride around the area on his bike with a sign to advertise his business.
