Motorcycle Rider Killed by Female Driver Who Ran a Red Light at High Speed

On July 18, 2022 at about 11:30 pm, Hemet Fire Department responded to multiple reports of a vehicle vs motorcycle crash at the intersection of Menlo Ave and State St in Hemet, California, Riverside County. Arriving crews located a white Hyundai sedan with major front end damage and a blue street bike with major damage a few hundred feet from the intersection crashed on the sidewalk. The rider was located at the intersection laying unresponsive. Paramedics declared the rider deceased at the scene. According to witnesses, the female driver of the white Hyundai was traveling at high speeds through the intersection of Menlo Ave and State St going through the red and collided with the motorcycle that was coming through the intersection on a green light. Officers have established a crime scene at the location and are investigating the crash. At this time it's unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
