A foolhardy man on a motorbike was swept away when he attempted to cross a flooded drain in northern India in recent heavy rain.

Video of the incident, which took place on Monday (August 27) in the town of Ramnagar, a small town in the northern state of Uttarakhand, shows the man riding across the gushing stream of water but halfway across he loses his balance and is swept away.

The video shows the man, who suffered only minor injuries, able to get up and grab his bike, which was recovered thanks to the help of some local teenagers, who quickly rushed to his aid.

Torrential rain has led to floods in Uttarakhand and nearby areas of Uttar Pradesh, although Kerala was the area thought to be worst hit.

In an attempt to cross the flooded drain, as soon as the bike rushed into the stream of water to cross the bike rider was flown in the water along with the bike. And fell down from the stream including the bike. The bike rider came out of the drain with the help of local teenagers. In this accident, the bike rider came to a minor injury . There was no loss of life in this accident
