Teenager surprises father at airport to have first dance after his flight was delayed
This is the heartwarming moment a loving daughter arrived at the airport to have her first dance with her father - who missed her birthday party because of a delayed flight.
Noel Limon was supposed to fly to Manila from Kuwait to attend Lindsay's 18th birthday party - or what's known in the Philippines as a debut party - but his flight was extremely delayed.
The local tradition is for the father and daughter to have the last dance of the evening - a symbolic moment where the teenager is now of age and can find a husband.
But without her father at the highlight of the party, Lindsay wore her long flowing yellow dress to visit the country's bustling Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City where she greeted her father as he arrived.
They performed the dance in front of passing commuters - with relieved Lindsay enjoying the special moment with tears in her eyes.
Lindsay said: ''We went straight to the airport because I didn’t have an after party.
''When we danced, there were very few people who saw us, and we didn’t bother a lot of people. Those who did see us were just smiling.
''It was a very emotional moment because I hasn't seen my father for a long time.''
Noel has been an OFW, or Overseas Filipino Worker, for at least 20 years now, first as a seaman and now a gym instructor in Kuwait.
