Leopard caught after 7-hour chase through Indian town
A rogue leopard was captured by authorities after a seven-hour chase through the streets of an Indian city earlier today (March 15).
Local spotted the big cat on the loose in the city of Alwar in Rajasthan state at around 6 am local time and informed the police, who in turn contacted the Forest Department.
After six hours hiding on a roof, the leopard ran towards an empty plot on the other side of the building before being caught on a road nearby.
Police, with the help of the forest team, were able to tranquillise the leopard at around 12:30 pm.
The animal is expected to be released back into the forest.
