The hills are alive! Landslide footage shows hillside slowly swallow road in north India
A landslide in north India yesterday (March 15) was caught on camera slowly advancing over and consuming a road hillside highway, as masses of rock and earth gradually shifted.
The affected road was the Chamba Tisha main road in Chamba district, Himchal Pradesh state, with video of the landslide showing over the course of a minute the dramatic but steady advance of the hillside, which eventually uprooted a large tree that also fell to block the road.
The road has since been cleared and luckily no casualties were reported.
