A wild bear was rescued after falling into a 30-foot-deep well in eastern India.

The bear fell into the well after entering Ravana Batha village in Chhattisgarh state injuring at least four people while searching for food and water.

Footage shows the animal stuck at the bottom of the well and later being pulled out by rescuers using a net and ropes on June 12.

The rescue team then released the bear in a forest nearby.

The bear reached the village after roaming in search of water and food in the fierce heat, at around 4 in the morning; He injured 4 including two women. At 5 o'clock in the morning he fell into 30 feet deep dry well. The Forest Department's team reached the spot & rescued with the help of the net, the bear pulled out of Dry well in one hour long hard luck.

Shubham procession reached home on Wednesday at 4 a.m. When the women were in the bride's reception, suddenly the bear attacked the women. In the dark women could understand something, then she wounded two. There was a woman seriously injured in this. The bear went into the neighborhood and injured two villagers there too. After it jumped, he fell into the dry well. The villagers informed the forest department. The team of forest department reached the spot in a few minutes and sent the villagers to the hospital. At 11 o'clock in the morning, the rescue team reached the spot and translised the Bear & put a trap and helped him take the bear out the dry well with the help of ladder & put the Bear in cage.
The Bear was latter released in the wild by forest officials.
