The horrifying visual captures the moment part of a road caves-in following a bridge collapse in northern India.

The incident took place on July 16 in Darbhanga municipality of the same district in Bihar state.

Video shows the bridge crashing down following heavy rains in the area.

According to reports, the bridge was newly constructed.

Visuals show part of the road crumbling after being washed away by heavy water currents.

As soon as the water level starts to rise, crowd gathered near the bridge, anticipating the collapse.

Video also shows the water level in the river rising above the danger-mark.

Another visual shows a stream of water passing in the midst of the collapsed stretch of the road.

The bridge collapse has certainly affected the road transportation in the area as people were stranded on both sides of the road.

Flash floods triggered by incessant rainfall in Nepal have claimed more than 30 lives in the state and affected over 2.5 million people in at least 12 districts of the state.

Nearly 125,000 people have been taken to safer places from the flood-ravaged areas till July 16.

Road traffic has completely come to a halt in many areas of the state.

Several districts in Bihar along the Indo-Nepal border have been affected due to the heavy rains.

Five rivers—Bagmati, Kamla Balan, Lalbakeya, Adhwara and Mahananda—are flowing above danger levels at various places in Bihar due to incessant rainfall in the catchment areas of the rivers in India, as well as at the source in Nepal.

Over 26 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with 796 personnel, have been deployed across the state for carrying out relief and rescue operations.

Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 78 after monsoon floods and landslides, triggered by heavy downpour wreaked havoc in Nepal.
